Lysa, I can not thank everyone enough at the school for all the help to obtain my private pilot. Anyone that would like to talk to a student is welcome to call me. I have attached my experience on my check ride. In one of the write ups a student wrote..."do what you know..you do not have to impress." I might say that just slightly differently...'You do not have to impress BUT you must know your stuff." I appreciate ALL of the accommodations that the school was willing to make today to ensure that I made it to my appointment.

Ash
You and I had a great day yesterday. It was double the pleasure having us both take check rides and having you now officially be "Captain Ash."
Your dedication to training and safety and aviation is beyond most people I have flown with and I am honored to have performed this journey with you. Thank you for the book yesterday and the kind words you placed in it. It will be a treasured memento and reminder of my accomplishing what has been a long time dream rating for me.
I look forward to working on my Instruments with you in the future.
"Ladies and Gentlemen, the Captain, Ash Pawla, has turned off the seat belt sign and you are free to move about the cabin !"
Best Regards
Charles

Lysa-
The January newsletter was excellent. I especially enjoyed the "Flying Naturally" tidbits from Ash. As a Davis, CA resident, I also fly out of University Airport (0O5) and belong to the flying club on field. Like Ahart, they have excellently maintained planes and reasonable rates. Unlike Ahart, I do not believe that they promote a positive attitude about flying. Their recent newsletters have been filled with derogatory comments about their members, rants about people dirtying the airplanes, and generally negative articles. I am always excited to read each month's "Jetstreams" and to pick up a few pointers on flying, as well as good places to eat, and great motivational information. Thanks for keeping flying exciting and fun.

Lysa, I am taking Ahart Ground School with John Ostrander. He does a great job and keeps it entertaining as well. I do want to start with the actual flying lessons and have heard good things about Tim Machugh. What is my next step and how can I have an opportunity to contact him? Thank you so much for your service. Sincerely, Michael. P.S. this almost sounds like a testimonial.

Hi Ash,
It was a pleasure meeting you today and enjoying your company in both of your offices; on the ground and in the air! I really appreciate your instructional style and taking the time with me today to help ‘sharpen’ my skills. I’ll be a better pilot for sure. I’ll work on scheduling some time with you in a future morning so I can get some actual.
Thanks again, Rick Trimble

Sorry to bother you, but would you please pass a message on to Dan. I do not think I copied his email address down correctly. I will probably miss the remainder of the Instrument ground school as I am trying to shake of case of the flu, plus I have several projects at work that are due in the next few weeks. I have enjoyed the class and found it to be very helpful. Not having logged any instrument time in over 15 years, the class was beneficial in helping me focus on what I need in order to prepare for what I am sure will be a very long IPC.
Thank you, John Reiter

I'm beginning to feel a lot better about how the flying has been going, and I've been asking myself why? I attribute a lot of it to you. So, I want to take the time to say some of the good things, for which I thank you (Gold Stars).....1. Your ability to boil down complex things to the essentials....at least so I can understand them;2. A calm cockpit environment;3. My self-confidence (it was pretty low for whatever reasons) is growing, thanks to you and the sincerely positive feedback you provide;4. Clear communications, both in the cockpit and on the ground...what a big help to a student! I seldom have any trouble quickly grasping what you mean;5. Your habit of describing what's more important and what's less important. Students are confronted with so much stuff going on, and this is a big help. I'm determined to never make any more nose wheel-first touchdowns!! Mean while, thanks again for everything.
