Multi Engine Rating

The transition into a multi-engine airplane is an exciting step up. You will experience the dramatic increase in performance capabilities of a twin-engine airplane. Speed, altitude and power are significantly greater as well as increased carrying capacity. You will learn the increased skills necessary and characteristics that are distinctive to a multi-engine airplane.  The FAA does not require any written or minimum number of multi-engine instruction hours prior to taking a checkride to demonstrate your proficiency.  Adding this advanced rating to your license is a major step towards achieving a professional aviation career goal.
